The Golden Hills Plaza Project began in September of 2008 and work is presently continuing. The site improvements include installation of an onsite detention basin that was comprised of over 4,000-feet of 72-inch and 96" diameter Corrugated Metal Pipe and 15,000 tons of crushed rock. Balancing the dirt onsite required approximately 90,000 cubic yards of material will be off-hauled. An onsite looped fire system, over 5,000-feet in length, will be installed along with over 7,000-feet of storm drain piping and nearly 3,000-feet of sewer piping. Approximately 10,000 tons of asphalt pavement will be installed in the onsite parking lot. Offsite improvements included widening and bike lane improvements on Dallons Road, installation of sidewalk, curb & gutter, and center medians along Dallons Road and Golden Hill Road. Additional turn lane, signal and storm drainage improvements will also be completed at the intersection of Hwy 46 and Golden Hill road. Once completed, this shopping center will house retail stores such as "Lowes" and "Bed, Bath, and Beyond".
